In a conversation with producer João Stipp, owner of Fazenda João Stipp, located in Manoel Ribas, Paraná, he shared how he overcame challenges in calf growth and the positive impact of using De Heus solutions on his farm.

Overcoming calf rearing challenges with De Heus' expertise

"We were struggling with weight gain in calves and found it challenging to ensure proper development during their early months of life. After consulting De Heus technicians, we adopted the Kaliber® Plan, using the premium milk replacer Kaliber® Milk and Kaliber® Initial feed. The results were evident, with notable weight gains during the weaning period."

João explains that combining these products with high-quality forage was essential. “The calves started to achieve an average daily weight gain of 0.840 kg, reaching 75 kg by 60 days of age, starting from 40 kg at birth. This progress reinforced our confidence that we were taking the right steps to secure the future performance of the herd."
